Livingston RFC - Jimmy Irvine

It is with a deep sense of sadness that Livingston RFC announces the passing of Jimmy Irvine.
Jimmy was one of the founder members of the club and remained an active part of the club until he recently fell ill.
Jimmy and his son Gordon both played for the club for many years. Jimmy and his wife Anne hardly missed a match and Jimmy could always be found in his spot on match days across from the stand. He kept involved in the club and at weekends could be found in the member's lounge with other past players discussing the current team and challenges in rugby.
Every Friday he came to the club and made sure it was tidy outside, he did this off his own back and worked tirelessly throughout the year and never once mentioned it.
As we move into our 50th anniversary we will very much miss Jimmy he was a true Livingston legend.

Jimmy's funeral will take place on Friday 10th August at Adambrae cemetery at 2pm. Please note this is provisional if there are any changes to this we will update.
